Work Health and Safety
For projects, a specific safety management plan is developed on a contract by contract basis, based on Killard Infrastructure’s safety management template which meets the requirements of AS/NZS 4801:2001.
In accordance with AS/NZS 4801, the safety management plan addresses:
- Identification of hazards specific to theproject
- Assessment of risks associated with thosehazards
- Safety measures and controls for the hazards andrisks
- Nomination of responsible persons and assignment ofroles
Killard has developed a method to ensure proper compliance and consistent implementation of safety plans across all crews and locations through the development of its site folder packs.
Site specific folder packs include a series of checklists that crews must complete each day before commencing work. This demonstrates that they have identified hazards and risks specific to their sites and tasks and confirms that they have implemented obligatory controls. Each crew member is required to sign on daily.
